2022 Ford Bronco
With impressive off-road capabilities, bold looks, and lots of innovative technologies, the 2022 Ford Bronco is the perfect adventure SUV. Now in its sixth generation, the iconic Bronco comes with several powertrain options and the flexibility to remove the doors and roof to feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your face for any backcountry adventures.
Trim Levels
The 2022 Bronco comes in eight trims: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, Everglades, and the desert-racing-inspired Raptor. Ford designed the 2022 Bronco to look like the old-style models but with modern twists like LED headlights. You can choose the two-door variation with a shorter wheelbase of 100.4 inches or the four-door version with a longer wheelbase of 116.1 inches. Spice up your Ford Bronco with color options like Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat or Eruption Green.
Engine
The Ford Bronco comes with three engine options. Under the hood of the four lower trims, you'll find a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine that delivers 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. An optional 2.7-liter turbocharged V-6 engine with an output of 330 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque is available for all trims except the Raptor. For the ultimate power, the Raptor gets a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine that pumps out 400 horsepower. A 10-speed transmission pairs with all three engines. A seven-speed manual transmission is optional.
Performance
This capable SUV comes standard with four-wheel drive across the lineup. In addition, all the 2022 Bronco trims have Ford's unique terrain management system — Goes Over Any Terrain — affectionately called G.O.A.T. Also, the trims come with Ford's H.O.S.S. system — High-Performance Off-Road Stability.
Add the available Sasquatch Package to any trim except the Raptor, and your Bronco will come with 35-inch tires, front and rear electronic locking differentials, Bilstein position-sensitive dampers, and a more advanced H.O.S.S. When properly equipped, the six lower Bronco trims can tow up to 3,500 pounds, and the Raptor can haul up to 4,500 pounds.
Interior
The two-door Bronco can seat up to four people and the four-door version can fit up to five people. Inside of the lower trims, you will find cloth seating. Move up the tiers and you get leather-trimmed seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and easy-to-clean rubberized floor mats. When you add the available Mid Package, the Bronco gets heated front seats, a larger 12-inch touch screen, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen speaker system. Navigation and a heated steering wheel come with the optional Lux Package.
All 2022 Bronco trims come with Ford's Sync 4 infotainment system and a standard 8-inch touch screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard across the lineup as does Bluetooth, four USB ports, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
Safety Features
The rugged and capable 2022 Bronco comes equipped with Ford's Co-Pilot 360 bundle of driver-assist technologies. Key features include pro-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and a lane mitigation system. Additional features include adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beam headlights.
